Family Photography (Hylands Park Chelmsford)
I had a great time photographing Mum Helen, Dad Nick and 18 month old Thomas on this family photo shoot at Hylands Park Chelmsford.
Thomas is such a scrumptious Mr Handsome and I just adore these photos from our Autumnal family portrait session.
Give us a kiss!
What a lovely cheeky chappy.
There’s no one like Mummy and Daddy.
I also had the opportunity to grab these gorgeous portraits of Thomas at home.
Helen is not just a customer but also a friend of mine. I appreciate enormously her support of my photographic journey since I started the business over a year ago now. In fact baby Thomas was one of my first models, when I initially started dabbling with the idea that I might turn my love of children’s photography into a business. Here he is fast asleep just 2 weeks old.
Well I hope you love your photos guys, I certainly loved creating them for you.

Family Photography (Chelmsford)
When I first set up my business over a year ago now, Mum Ilana from my NCT group was one of the first people to book me. I appreciated that show of support enormously, and was delighted when she asked me to photograph her beautiful family again this Autumn.
It started out as a cold wet morning, but then the sun shone beautifully for this fun family photo shoot.
3 year old Elise and 1 year old Naomi were super stars. All I really ask of the children I photograph is that they have fun and I think this family have fulfilled that requirement beautifully.
Ilana wanted to book a lifestyle family portrait session to capture the family as they are now, before heading off to New Zealand for the next few months. The photos from their family photo shoot will be something they can treasure forever, and will no doubt make great Christmas gifts for family and friends.
I love a good eye lash shot!
Well I hope you love your photos guys, and I wish you a wonderful time in New Zealand.

Family Photography (Chelmsford)
I had the pleasure of being booked for a lovely family photography portrait session recently.
Mum Beccy contacted me about doing a shoot for her Mum’s forthcoming birthday. This shoot will be particularly memorable for Beccy’s Mum as it took place in her own garden, with her two daughters Beccy and Sister Eleanor, and their two girls 4 month old Kitty and the very nearly 2 Chloe.
A photo shoot is such a great idea as a gift. You can look at and cherish the gift of photos every day – it’s a present that never runs out!
I just love this photo! I guess that’s the soppy Mummy in me.
Mum Eleanor did let me know that Chloe isn’t wildly keen on smiling, but she’s so beautifully full of gorgeous expressions it really didn’t matter. Some of my favourite portraits of my own daughter Izabel are when she is having a serious moment.

My girl and the bluebells (Family Photography Chelmsford)
I’ve been very busy recently photographing other people’s children, so it was nice to take a walk out into the bluebell woods and take some photos of my girl! She is after all the reason and inspiration behind me taking up lifestyle family portrait photography, so it seems only fair that she gets her own photo shoot once in a while..
Izzy is a consummate professional, giving me just that look and all of her character – anyone would think she has a photographer for a Mother
She thoroughly enjoyed our walk and did pick rather a lot of bluebells…
I love this photo of her wandering happily through the bluebells.
I did take rather a lot of photos, but hey I’m allowed to – I’m a proud Mum.
As long as the children I photograph are happy and enjoying themselves then that’s all that matters.
Izabel has in my ‘unbiased’ opinion, the most beautiful gaze.
No word of a lie, she was directing her own shoot at this point, “shall I peep through here Mummy? That will be cute”…
And just to prove that even the most consummate professional let’s you know when she has had enough – here is a fabulous outtake!
Izzy is all of my dreams come true, joy of my heart and love of my life. Capturing beautiful images of her is what inspired me to do the same thing for other Mummy’s and Daddy’s. If you would like to book a family or children’s photography session then do get in touch.
I’m off on hols later this week, but will be back with lots of blog posts from the families and babies I am booked to meet on my return – It’s going to be a busy June!
Enjoy the sunshine!

Family Photography (Ongar, Essex)
I had so much fun photographing this lovely family of five.
You wouldn’t believe from the gorgeous smiley faces that it was very windy and jolly cold for this family portrait photography session.
Mum Lucy booked me for this family photo shoot after I photographed her and her 4 best friends back in March.
Here’s Chloe 13, Lucas 5 and Lola 3 peeping out from behind the trees at Nanny Jan’s house – the location for our weekend family portrait session.
Lucas has the most amazing eyes. Here he is with his beloved new Ninja Penguin, all the way back from Florida.
You can see at the top of this blog post the three images of this cheeky pair, I also love this one below which just lent itself to being a black and white image, I think they look like a sweet little old couple!
Older sister Chloe was such a help at keeping the little ones in check and a brilliant photographic assistant!
And here’s little Sister Lola. I love her posture, wellies slightly turned in and looking a little unsure – very sweet.
Cousin Aoife was also over at Nanny Jan’s house for Sunday lunch. I’m usually armed with props like wands, bubbles, little toy phones, and if Mum and Dad don’t mind – sweets! Here are some shots I grabbed of 2 year old Aoife having a lovely time with my bubbles.
And lastly, a sweet kiss to make you smile.
I’ll be updating my family portrait photography gallery with more images from this lovely photo shoot soon.
I had a wonderful time photographing this family of five, I hope to meet you and your families soon.

Spring Photo Shoots (Children’s Photography)
“All at once I saw a crowd, a host of golden daffodils”… It’s hard not to think of the famous poem by William Wordsworth when you see all the beautiful daffodils at this time of year. I always recall it, as I remember being heavily coached by my dear Grandad to read it nicely in church when I was about 7!
So I love the poem as it reminds me of him, and daffodils also happen to be my favourite flowers.
This is a wonderful time of year for photography. All of the spring flowers are starting to grow, and soon there will be an abundance of blue bells to take advantage of.
With that in mind here are some more photos of my daughter Izabel enjoying herself among the daffodils.
Perhaps these will inspire you to book your family photo shoot this Spring time.

My Girl (Children’s Photography)
I don’t know about you but I am a complete child when it comes to snow, and having a 2 year old gives you all the license you need to get outside in it and have some fun – big kid style!
Despite being dressed like a red michelin man in a bobble hat I think Izabel has done these wintery pictures great justice. I enjoyed taking them and I really hope you will enjoy looking at them.
While we were in the garden, Izabel wanted to check on her play house!
Giving our snow man a big hug.
And just being my gorgeous snow girl..
Well the snow is still on the ground, so I’m going to get my 1980′s moon boots on and go out and have some fun!

Family Photo Shoot in Hertfordshire (The gift of photos)
The gift of photos is one that lasts forever, and for that reason I have available the option to buy a gift voucher for a photo shoot with me.
This recent photo shoot was a loving gift bought for a dear friend. Mum Ali received a gift voucher for a photo shoot with me and here are the results.
I was delighted with the gloriously sunny winter’s morning that greeted me for this weekend photo shoot. I have blogged before about the joys of winter sun, do check out my previous blog post here.
With the sun shining, my reflector at the ready and two gorgeous girls to photograph we couldn’t go wrong.
I mentioned my reflector, and here is Ellie being kind enough to carry it for me!
I love this shot of this blue eyed girl, with the winter sun gleaming all around her.
Ellie just turned 2 in December, so it’s only fair that she needed a lay down.
And it’s always a good idea to stop for a snack break.
We even had time for a game of Peppa Pig cards.
One last cheeky smile from Ellie and it’s time to pack up and go home.
So hopefully you will agree that the gift of photography is a great one. Thank you to the lovely Katie who was kind enough to buy this gift for Mum Ali, and in doing so help support my new business venture.

The making of a Christmas Card (Children’s Photography)
5 more sleeps until Christmas! I cannot wait. This time of year is made all the more special by having Izabel in our lives, and for the 3rd time she is the feature of our Christmas card.
I thought it would make an amusing blog post to show some of the out takes from my attempts to create our Christmas card this year.
Day one, attempt 1. A sweet picture, she’s enjoying herself, but it’s not quite right.
Having a chat with a fairy.
Eating the wand wasn’t really what I had in mind Izzy. She has pretty much decided to direct the shoot herself at this point.
Day two, attempt 2. Gorgeous smiles and giggles but a messy background and not enough baubles!
Time for a break, and a little bit of bribery..
None of the angles were working, so I decided to lay a white duvet on the floor and shoot down through the baubles, butterflies and fairies. This wasn’t really the look I was going for though!
Then just when we were both getting fed up..
We got the shot!
Well I hope you enjoyed ‘the making of a Christmas card’ – and all that remains to be said is that I wish you all a very happy Christmas, and may the new year see all your wishes come true x

Family photography Essex (Winter photo shoot)
Hi there, welcome to my blog!
I thought I’d kick things of with some pictures I took recently of two of my favourite girls, my 2 year old daughter Izabel and her friend Esmee – also 2.
These photos were taken at Hylands Park in Chelmsford, it’s such a great place for family photography at any time of the year. The possibilities for shots are almost endless, although I do of course have some favourite spots I like to use, one of which the lovely Esmee is modelling here at the entrance to the pleasure gardens.
Myself and Esmee’s Mum Siobhan took the girls to Hylands Park at the beginning of December for a stroll and a cake, which gave me the perfect opportunity to grab a few shots. I think these images show that a photo shoot in a lovely location such as this can be great at any time of the year. I have included some pictures below which were taken in the late winter sun and worked beautifully with Esmee’s gorgeous curls!
As you can see there are even flowers still in bloom during the winter months.
I love taking pictures of my daughter, she’s the reason I got into family portrait photography, but I absolutely love having the opportunity to photograph other peoples children and Esmee was a great model for my winter sun shots.
A photo shoot with children and families really can be beautiful in all of our wonderful seasons, and I look forward to blogging you through winter with some more heart warming shots!
I must go now, there are Christmas presents to wrap and cards to write – I’ll be blogging on the making of a Christmas card soon! Before I go let me share with you these amazing eye lashes!
